Magdalene Louise Batel
(Maggie Lou)
Maggie Lou started this site as a place to organize and share her thoughts. Some posts will be serious; some will be fun; most will have a factual base, though a few may be pure fiction. Often Maggie Lou will add a spiritual insight. Maggie Lou intends to have fun writing these posts and hopes you have fun reading them. Just so you’ll know thinking, questioning, critiquing, researching, and creating all fall under Maggie Lou’s definition of fun.
Maggie is a seminary graduate and an ordained minister. As you will quick see from her writing, her views are moderate to liberal. Maggie Lou has taught school, served on church staffs, and served as a chaplain. She loves to work with children and youth, helping them discover and develop their potential. Maggie Lou loves to read and seldom goes any where without a book (the Kindle on her phone has made having a book with her much easier). Maggie Lou loves animals and tries to do them no harm. She once spared a cockroach because she saw a cuteness in him. Of course, by the time he or one of his relatives next crossed her path, Maggie Lou’s reprieve was revoked. BTW, Maggie Lou’s favorite flower is the purple iris.
